Kids are out of school Friday, the Farm Market is back Tuesday, and the Station starts filling up with music again Thursday night. Plenty going on this week.

Roberts Road Work Starts Monday, and the City Wins a State PR Award
Roberts Road construction starts June 1.
The city and the Franklin County Engineer's Office are beginning coordinated improvements on Roberts Road west of Alton and Darby Creek. Full reconstruction, sidewalks, shared-use paths, and street lighting, running through mid-August. https://hilliardohio.gov/roberts-road-corridor-construction/ -
The Roberts Road bridge over Clover Groff Run closes for about 35 days. The signed detour runs via Hilliard-Rome, Renner, Alton and Darby Creek, and Walker Road. Worth scoping now if you commute that way. https://hilliardohio.gov/roberts-road-corridor-construction/

Council Wants Three High School Students on the Parks Committee
City Council is accepting applications from up to three high school students for one-year terms on the Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee (RPAC). The committee advises Council on parks, recreation facilities, trails and bikeways, and bigger projects like The Well and future athletic fields. Separately, the Housing Steering Committee is wrapping up its draft Housing Study with consulting firm CommunityScale. The study looks at current and future housing needs, affordability, and recommended strategies for Hilliard, and it's expected to be finalized this spring or early summer. School's Out Friday. Plus Two Teacher Honors and a Capstone Showcase.

Friday, May 29 is the last day of school for Hilliard Preschool and grades K through 12. The Class of 2026 sendoff wrapped over Memorial Day weekend, with graduations for Darby, Bradley, and Davidson all behind us now.
A few things worth flagging before everyone scatters:
- Carter Williams (5th grade, Horizon Elementary) and Amanda Jenkins (5th grade, Washington Elementary) were named recipients of the district's Embrace, Empower, and Inspire Award. - Sixty seniors across all three high schools presented 21 capstone projects in the Engineering Design and Development course last week, with one team earning Best of Show.
- Bradley Athletic Summer Camps are open for registration, including soccer (June 23 to 26) and girls volleyball (July 14 to 16) at Bradley on Walker Road.

Hilliard's Station Park does most of the heavy lifting for summer programming in town. With the kids off school Friday and Celebration at the Station kicking off the following Thursday, here's what's filling up the calendar through June so you can pick the nights you want to plan around.
Celebration at the Station runs every Thursday in June, 6:30 to 9pm. Free.

Motivation at the Station starts Saturday, June 6, 7 to 9am. Free strength training followed by yoga, with a few blackout dates including June 20 and July 4.
Bring the Zoo to You lands at Britton Farms Park on Sunday, June 7, 4 to 6pm. Columbus Zoo brings the animals to you.
Sprout's Live: The Shazzbots is a free kids' concert at the Station on Saturday, June 20, 10:30am to noon.
